Daode Jing chapter 37
道常無為, 而無不為.
侯王若能守之, 萬物將自化.
化而欲作, 吾將鎮之以無名之樸.
無名之樸, 夫亦將無欲.
不欲以靜, 天下將自定
Lin Yutang's translation:
The Tao never does,
Yet through it everything is done.
if princes and dukes can keep the Tao,
the world will of its own accord be reformed.
When reformed and rising to action,
Let it be restrained by the Nameless pristine simplicity.
The Nameless pristine simplicity
Is stripped of desire (for contention).
By stripping of desire quiescence is achieved,
And the world arrives at peace of its own accord.
Toki Telo version:
[- Word change: instead of pona, I will use the word "kipu", from the Chinese word 修复 (xiu1fu4), meaning to repair
- I will start to use "wile" as a particle of desire
- To amplify ambiguities, I will avoid using subjects and start using "mi lon" instead of "mi li", with the meaning of anything close to the body.
- Instead of male and female, "mije" and "meli", I will use the words "sane" and "sine" for the two primary energies of the universe]
